The 2nd XI's South Lincs and Borders League Div3 title campaign has come to an abrupt halt, after two dissappointing losses to Moulton Harrox and Heckington. After a minor wobble, the 1st XI are starting to get things back on track again after a comfortable victories against Appleby Frodingham in the Lincs League Premier Division and Alford in the George Marshall trophy quater-final.

With a gap in the fixtures for the Under 15 side, exaggerated by a conceded cup fixture and rain, it has been down to the Under 13 and Under 11 sides to fly the junior flag for Skegness CC in recent weeks.

The Under 13s have continued to make solid progress. In the last four fixtures they have lost 2 and won 2, with there being plenty of positives to take from even the lost games. This side is developing well in terms of technique, ability and character and is developing potential future stars for the club. Regular solid performances are coming the likes of Nuttall (cpt), Corcoran, Edison, Balding, Chapman and Jackson, although the overall strength is the team spirirt and regular contributions from all members of the team.

The under 11s are enjoying a recent rush of fixtures, and although they are yet to record a win they are improving game by game with some real potential starting to shine through. The experience of Stevenson and Taylor (cpt) has provided the rock around which other players are starting to learn the game.

3rd April 2008

Outdoor nets will take place every thursday evening from 3rd April 08, 6 til dusk.

All senior players are encouraged to attend. Those in the Under 15 squad who either play in or are on the fringes of the senior side are also invited to attend.
